Kitts Green Youngsters Have Their Say

Liam Byrne will today bring together young people from across Kitts Green to plan priorities for the future.

The session at the Prince of Wales sponsored building, The Pump, is part of a long campaign by the Hodge Hill MP to make Hodge Hill the best place in Birmingham to be a young person.

The Pump are running T-Shirt printing workshops and are providing free refreshments.

Liam said ‘After my youth conferences in every school last year we have a new youth council in Hodge Hill which gives young people the chance to call the shots on how money for them is spent.

‘But I want every young person in Hodge Hill to have their voice heard.

‘In Kitts Green we have one of the greatest centres for young people in the city. Now we need to make sure that what goes on inside is as good as the outside.'

Liams youth conferences last year found young peoples priorities for services were support for learning new skills, drama and art, football, volunteering and swimming.
